Energy transformation

 when energy is passed or changes from one type to another. 

- There are 8 types of energy: 

Kinetic-moving 

Chemical potential- energy from food/fuel

Heat-temperature giving energy-cold not a lot -hot lots

Light-waves of light-visible or can see x-ray  

Gravitational- effect of gravity pushing down

Elastic potential-stretches to load up energy

Electrical-anything using power 

Sound -waves can hear- voice/ vibration

Kia ora today I had to post my politics slides to my blog. We have been working on this for almost the Whole term we all had to present our slides to the kahui we either could get our teacher to read our part if You weren't confident enough to in my group, there were Ashton, Krystal, Faye, Rocki and me and my part Was to tell everyone about how to take time off for illness people it was good and there were a lot of people that were there but I did it and it was a great time.

Heat transfer

 Heat transfer- is moving heat from one place to another. 

The conductor of heat- can pass on heat from one thing to another. 

water can conduct heat. 

pan can conduct heat.

Insulator of heat- does not pass on heat.

a jacket can Insulate.

a bed can Insulate heat.

Convection: heat transfer without contact.

the convention is when an object is heated up, the particles in it start moving faster as they gain energy. These particles also try to spread out as the gaps between particles get bigger.

In the experiment we did we burnt tea bags and they raised up in the air why did they raise up in the air because they are so light and if they were full of tea they wouldn't have gone up in the air and also they were so light because they were hot.
